About Barmston Farm

Nigel & Fiona Williamson bought Barmston Farm in 2002 in Woodmansey, East Yorkshire, as both their family home and a business venture.  They had a lot of work to do, as the caravan park did not exist and the fishing lake had been closed for many years.  Their aim was to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for people to enjoy and explore the many attractions the area has to offer.

After a huge investment, both financially and in the time and effort they have spent, they have successfully achieved a 5 star rating for the holiday park and are continuing to find new ways to improve the site for their guests.

Their intention has never been to create a large commercial caravan site and holiday park, and this is apparent when you visit and experience the peaceful setting with a small site of 5 caravans around an ornamental pond with an island feature and seating area.   Currently offering one holiday cottage with a high quality finish and facilities, the plan is to offer only a small number of additional cottages over the coming years to maintain the standards and principals of a small family business.

As well as short stay visitors and longer stay holiday makers, the location and facilities offer an ideal opportunity for people visiting family in the local area to benefit from the accommodation.  People coming to the area for weddings, christenings, birthdays, Christmas, and other events have all used Barmston Farm as it is provides all of the amenities, freedom, space, and better value than using a B and B or hotel in the local area.  In addition to the larger towns and cities of Beverley, Hull, York, Bridlington, and Scarborough, Woodmansey is very close to Driffield, Molescroft, Skidby, Little Weighton, Anlaby, Willerby, Hessle, Leconfield, Cottingham, Kirkella, Swanland, Ferriby, Brough, Brandsburton, and Bishop Burton.

Barmston Farm is ‘dog friendly’, and up to 2 (well behaved) dogs are allowed for guests on the site. (Additional charge, certain units only)

With excellent reviews and testimonials for all aspects of the Farm, this should be your next destination when you visit East Yorkshire (or North Humberside as it was formally known) to enjoy the best the area has to offer.

Beautiful Park ideally located for York and the seaside. My children loved feeding with the ducks and chickens that would wait outside our caravan. A perfect holiday for all ages.Mrs P, Lincoln
